Wildflowers

Roxie here, I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and you're looking forward to a new year of crafting.

The patterned panel was created by inking with VersaMark over the Moroccan Tile stencil and Royal Sterling enamel was applied for heat embossing.  The small hearts were also heat embossed with the Royal Sterling, attached with tacky glue then covered with Glastique gloss.

The butterfly is a Globecraft and Piccolo bookboard accent heat embossed with Aged White enamel using Enamel Embossing Powder Fluid Adhesive.

Thinking of You

It's all about the Food and Drinks this week at Sweet Stamps.
Many of us seem to over indulge this time of year, but
a new year is almost here so why not take the rest of the week to enjoy?!
I created a yummy thinking of you card for a special birthday girl.
The French Oval Frame highlights the sweet cake just right. I snipped the oval
half and saved the other side for a future project....thrifty, eh?!
Rather than use a Happy Birthday sentiment I chose the fun
I hope you enjoyed my calorie free card today.
Be sure to share your food and/or drink creations with us...you have all week!
I hope you have a happy, healthy New Year!

New Year is Comimg

I'm not ready to tell 2015 hello quite yet, but it is almost time to do just that.

I've made a quick banner for the new year festivities.

The clock face paper is by Tim Holtz. I glued a solid graphite colored card stock to these.

To add sparkle to the clock faces I stamped them with the Flourish Stamp and embossed them with Siam Silver embossing powder.

The back of each has a Mini Medallion  cut from a neutral card stock. I added glitter for some sparkle and tied these to a metallic lace.

This detail will be repeated with the glasses, and table décor for the party.

I'll see you again next Sunday.

A Holiday Thank You

Hello!  Lisa here today and I hope many of you had a wonderful Christmas yesterday, and/or are enjoying your Holidays so far!  If you are like me now might be the time you need a few Thank you cards for some of the wonderful goodies you have been receiving, and today I'm going to show you how to make the perfect Thank you for this time of year!

This was such a fast and easy card to make too!  I started with the Winter Village Accent and used various enamel embossing powders by masking and embossing one color at a time.  Next I used the clear Funky Flowers set and the grey ink spot to create my own snowy background.  Finally I stamped the sentiment and tied on the ribbon.  See? I told you it was easy! :)

Happy Birthday Christ the Lord

For my post today, I wanted to share the Stained Glass Nativity card I made to celebrate the birth of Christ the Lord.
I stamped the image onto Parchment Vellum (after first swiping the vellum with the anti-static pad), and then embossed using Queens Gold EP. I colored the image from the reverse side using Copic Sketch markers using small flicking strokes from end to end. Once each color was dry, I would blend using the next higher color. For each color , I generally used at least three colors.
The background is called Faux Wood, and seems appropriate for a baby born in a stable. The next layer is a shimmery Gold cardstock from Paper Temptress.  I added rhinestones that were colored with Copic YR24. I added a touch of Stickles to the star and the halo.
I cut a piece of plain white cardstock that fit just inside the brown rim of the image and attached it to the back of the vellum using spray adhesive.

Supplies I used to make this card:

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Snowman

Roxie here with a card which will work for Christmas or just as a winter card and this snowman looks pretty happy to see those flakes are still falling!  I used the Globecraft and Piccolo products to create the bookboard Snow in Love With You.   I didn't have all the colors needed in enamel gels so I heat embossed the entire snowman with white embossing powders, colored with Copics then applied the  enamel gel one section at a time to avoid the color from running.
The snowman, tree, punched snowflakes and mica chips snow are attached with Aleene's tacky glue.  The pearls are attached with the glossy glaze.

Snowman: Piccolo - Snow in Love with You accents
Tree: Lea'bilities - Pine Tree dies
Mica Chips: Martha Stewart
Paper: Stampin Up - Cool Caribbean, unknown white and red, Die Cuts with a View glitter white, Heidi Grace Designs designer paper
Tools: EK Success - snowflake, eBosser for cutting tree
Accessories: Spellbinder - pearls, Enamel embossing Powder Fluid, Micro White Powder,
Glastique Gloss

Just Because Pillow Box

This week we are challenged to create
Anything But a Card
How fun, right?
I mean....if you're like me you need a card break now and again.
So I created this very simple pillow box.
It has a wonderful vintage vibe and would be a perfect little just because gift.
I love how the Real Rust EP looks with the ivory paper and white lace.
I hope you'll join our latest challenge and share your other than a card creations with us.
I won't be posting again until after Christmas so I'd like to take this opportunity to wish
all of my friends at Sweet Stamps and
all of you who stop by throughout the year
a very Merry Christmas!
